My Favorite San Diego Bay Venue

As a San Diego wedding photographer, I have had the privilege of being active witness to countless celebrations, but there was something truly special about photographing Michelle and Halle’s wedding at Paradise Point. Nestled on the serene shores of San Diego Bay, Paradise Point offers an idyllic backdrop for couples looking to celebrate their love in an intimate yet grand setting. From the moment I arrived at the venue, the natural beauty of the location paired with the joy and relaxed anticipation of the couple made for an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, the couple’s energy on their wedding day was effortlessly joyful, creating such a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. It made it easy to capture the moments in an organic way, with a natural, unhurried flow. The couple expressed they preferred a mostly photojournalistic approach, limiting any poses, and I was more than happy to oblige!

Michelle and Halle’s love story began in the cozy, unlikely atmosphere of The Sandy Hut in Portland, Oregon A shanty dive off of Sandy Boulevard where tired lungs work overtime to fill the bar’s only ashtray. A random encounter brought them together over shared laughter and conversation. Two years later their connection was undeniable, and capturing the joy of their union in the stunning San Diego setting was truly a privilege. It was clear that their bond had only deepened since that first meeting, making their wedding day a beautiful reflection of their journey together. The couple celebrated their love with a ceremony that beautifully combined their traditions and personalities. The Jewish wedding rituals, from the signing of the Ketubah to the heartfelt breaking of the glass, were seamlessly woven into the day’s events. As a wedding photographer, it’s always an honor to capture these significant moments. The blend of their cultural heritage, longstanding friendship + family, was celebrated with a perfect blend of fun and heartfelt moments.

Its versatile outdoor spaces offer a range of picturesque settings, from the intimate beachside ceremony to the lively reception under the stars.
